Sister in a laundry basket

Recently Sage discovered how much fun it is to sit in a laundry basket and be pushed/pulled around the house by her sisters.

 

 

I think she would have done it all day had the sisters not gotten tired.

Visitors for New Year's eve

Finally getting around to blogging again, now that J-term is finished (still need to grade papers and then I'm really finished!)  For a few days around New Year's my good friend Adrienne and her girls M (3 yrs) and S (6.5 mo) came to visit while her husband was at a work conference in Florida.  Yes, for anyone doing the math, we had seven females in our house... and one guy. (plus Bates the bunny, as our girls always point out! It's not just Will by himself, Bates is a boy, too! ;)  It was a great visit and the girls had tons of fun all playing together.  They live in Missouri where they don't get as much snow as we do,  and with our 14 inches of snow a couple weeks before and what turns out to be a pretty awesome hill, the kids (and adults!) had a lot of fun sledding!

Eventually the snow was so packed on the sled runs that the girls discovered you could slide down the hill almost as fast with no sled at all!

Snowshoes

Claire got snowshoes for Christmas from G. Bernie and G. Fran, and she and Will strapped on their snowshoes and went out in the woods behind our house to test them!
