Visit with friends
I am going to be an extra-lazy blogger right now and just link to my friend Em's blog where she wrote about their visit to our house this past summer (was it that long ago already?!?).
She did such a nice job with the pictures, so you can go here: http://www.littlebitsandmore.com/2013/10/6-girls.html to learn more about when there were 6 little girls in our house at once (plus the two moms, so the dads were very outnumbered!)

Kristin's shower
The shower for Kristin was a lot of fun! But no pictures really were taken until... three little mini brides with tissue paper dresses stole a bit of the show later in the afternoon.
Thanks to Jackie's handiwork! She has talent - look at the different styles of these dresses!
Augie wasn't sure what to think of all those paper dresses... oh wait, he just wanted to eat them.
Sylvie was happy enough with her own toy.
Sage didn't want a dress, so she was the bridesmaid.

Open House
Claire got to show off her room and school during an open house a few weeks back. They grew grass 'hair' guys.
Claire's 'All About Me T' happened to be up on the wall that week.
Claire's desk.
The teacher had them dress up and give their best 'teacher' face and write rules for the classroom. I like how she wants homework 4 days a week... so far she hasn't gotten as much as she wanted.
Some art.
More art.
Her sisters made themselves at home in the library immediately upon walking in there.

First haircut for Sage
As you might have noticed in some previous posts, Sage has had her first haircut.
Before:
After:
Sage will proudly tell you who gave her the haircut. ("Lee!") Sigh. We did find the hair stuffed under the coffee table, so I was able to save some from her first haircut. I guess it's a parenting right of passage.

In-Town Tourists
Sometimes we like to be tourists in our own town, and even have strangers take family photos for us.

Running on the new track
Senior high has a new stadium and the most important part is the brand-new track, of course! It's so much nicer than what I ran on years ago. All students in the district were invited one weekend in September to come and run a mile (well, 15 min) on the track for a fun run. The girls definitely had fun! Excuse the blurriness of some pictures which I took while running with Sage. Oh yes, she ran too, of course! Her sisters were doing it, so she wasn't about to be left out. The older two did 4 laps, and Sage and I ran 2 laps in the 15 minutes. Not bad for 22 months old.
When she saw her sisters had taken off their sweaters, she wanted hers off too, but she also insisted on carrying it.
After - happy runner's high!
I saw a woman as we were leaving who I used to run against in high school. She was pushing a stroller and holding hands with another little one. It will be funny if someday my girls run in high school and end up running with or against kids of girls I ran with or against! I guess that's what could happen when you move back to your hometown, but it is strange to think about!
