Kate: I'm leaving for work now. Anyone want to give me a hug and a kiss before I leave?
Claire: (yelling happily from the next room) I don't! But maybe Dada or Lise will!
K: What?? Please! I'd really like a hug from you!
C: I'll tell ya what... how 'bout I give you a hug when you get home from work?
Claire drives a hard bargain, but so does her mother... and I did get a hug and kiss before I left.

Funny story!! You will be so glad you wrote these types of small happenings down!! gotta love little steps towards independence.
