Vacation 2013: Part 3 - Sprinklers Saved our Sanity

Around Big Springs, NE another girl had to go to the bathroom, again. It was mid to late afternoon. It was HOT. And we had been traveling around 8-ish hours already.  After the facilities were used, we noticed an irrigation system going in grass behind the gas station parking lot, in the side lawn of a nearby hotel. There were around six sprinklers shooting the water in all directions. At first we just thought the girls could run through once or get their feet wet. But soon this was happening:

You had to be careful where you ran or a different sprinkler would sneak up behind you and catch you unaware.

They all ended up drenched and we had to change them in the van/parking lot before we could get on the road again. But they had a blast, and it completely saved our sanity for the rest of the trip to CO. Just what they needed!

Ah, yes, travelling with little ones is definitely an adventure in itself. Sometimes you just have to roll with what comes along. I felt bad for poor Sage just wanting her bed (in the last post).
