Forgotten

Dear Blog,
We haven't forgotten about you. We just haven't thought about you for a while. Or uploaded pictures from our camera. So here are a few "recent" pics from the last 6 weeks.

Bargains

Feb. 4, 2010

Kate: I'm leaving for work now. Anyone want to give me a hug and a kiss before I leave?
Claire: (yelling happily from the next room) I don't! But maybe Dada or Lise will!
K: What?? Please! I'd really like a hug from you!
C: I'll tell ya what... how 'bout I give you a hug when you get home from work?

Claire drives a hard bargain, but so does her mother... and I did get a hug and kiss before I left.

Messy hair and messy face

Lise and Claire and I went for a short walk on Saturday. Lise ended up with hat hair.

Claire wanted to feed Lise her lunch on Saturday.

Lise ended up a bit messier than usual (and so did the table and floor.)

Mom and Dad know everything?

Claire: Why this on the fridge? (a piece of paper)
K: Because you put it there!
C: Why?
W: You'll have to ask yourself why!
C: And then what I answer?

Lise

This is Lise. She's cute.

Lise starts the journey toward walking by pulling herself up for the first time.

I can walk!

Yep, she's walking. Yes, she uses a walker, but give her a break she's not yet 9 months old.

Lise exhibits one of her rare smiles.

Lise loves her mama. Now that she's got a tooth Kate will have to make sure Lise doesn't bite off her nose or chin.

Lise, meet Santa. He's not as scary as your sister thinks he is.

Claire

It seems that lately all the pictures we take are of Lise but that's not really true. We do take the occasional picture of her big sister. Here are a smattering of recent ones.

Claire enjoys a new point of view...

...Therefore so does her sister!

It's been cold recently so hot chocolate has been a big hit.

Claire at the kid's table with her cousins (once removed). Note the glass of milk beside her. That's what her dad gave her. The other kids got apple juice. Claire wanted apple juice, too. So she got apple juice. It was a special occasion.
