What are they doing?

Christmas #1

It's been a while since the last post, but rest assured Claire has not stopped growing. She just hasn't done anything notable recently, except be cute. December 22nd was Claire's first Christmas, with lots of music, lots of kids and lots of pink Christmas gifts for Claire. We were at Will's Aunt Helen's in the Twin Cities with almost all of his first cousins on his dad's side... and all their kids, plus Uncle Marc and Aunt Mia (aka "Missing in Action"). We also managed to spend a late night and early morning with good friends Ben and Emmi, who now live in Minneapolis and regaled us with stories from their 4 month around the world adventure. (In the picture we cut off part of Ben's head because he's too tall and their house is too small to get far enough away to capture the whole scene.) Here's some pictures...

Where are the smiles?

The pictures of her smiling are yet to come. Technical difficulties and all that...

Another week older...

Kate actually managed to snap a few pictures when Claire was smiling. She smiles a lot, but when the camera comes out she tends to just stare at it. Here are a few fun pictures of the cute, fluffy-haired kid. She gets baptized tomorrow so I'm sure there will be a few more pictures soon.

One month old

Claire made it to one month of age yesterday. What did she do to celebrate? Well, we were going to go to church for the noon mass in preparation for next Sunday's baptism. We started getting ready at 11:30. By 11:50 Claire had decided she was going to play a little trick and (in Grandpa Cooper's words) "make major poopies." We knew it was coming as it had been a day and a half, and we knew it would be big... After getting her cleaned up and changed we didn't feel like going to church (and getting there late) any more, so we went to a friend's art show instead.

Next week, Claire, I urge you to make major poopies earlier in the day.
