Cooking with a crowd

Too many cooks didn't ruin this snack and the finished product was quickly eaten! As Sage would say, "Deeeee - lish!"

We had peanut butter balls growing up, but I didn't have the recipe mom used to make and she was out of town on vacation when I had the idea to make them with the girls for snack. So I found a recipe online and they were pretty good, too, though probably not as healthy as what we used to have! (maybe those had wheat germ in them too??)

Peanut butter balls (slightly modified from: http://www.superhealthykids.com/peanutbutterballs.html (Recipe #1) - This amount was perfect for the girls' snack and a couple left over for mom and dad or to save for dessert.

1/2 c. quick oats
2 T. honey (original recipe calls for more, but then they're too sweet) May need a bit extra honey or a bit extra pb though to make them form balls nicely)
1/4 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. powdered milk
2 T. ground golden flax
chocolate chips (mini, mixed in - OR give the kids one or two big ones and let them form the balls around the  chocolate!)

Mix together and roll into balls - enjoy!
